"I MADE UP A VESEL AND LEFT"

I needed a peaceful place to scape. The scene evokes comfort and tranquility and even dark blues predominate, it's full of light.

"THE CAPE "  36" x 48"Impasto Oil on canvas with palette knife

My interpretation of  the lighthouse on Key Biscayne. While the lighthouse seems to be the theme of the painting, the focus is the sunset, affecting the scene with warm, vibrant, intense colors.

My work is done in impasto oil paint with palette knife . This technique allows for rich textures and a distinct feel.

PAINTED BUNTING  30"x24"x1.5"

Impasto oil/canvas/palette knife

When I saw this painted bunting I stopped the project I was working on and jumped to paint him.

The beautiful colors were so happily familiar: a true reminder of my overworked palette!

Worked with palette knife, the impressionistic birch trees fading in the background enhance the bird texture and colors

gnificant contrast aquired not only by te

h of palette knife strokes, but also the vivacity of colors balanced agains the canvas.

Unlike the softness of brush strokes, the work  significaly jumps at the viewer, that is why I like to piont out that this style of work is certainly best appreciated in person .

Similarly to the appreciacion of live music, this work in essence intends more than a composition of colors given shape but basically the story told loudly with txture and color

for that reason, it's I hope you can see these works in person.
